Do I Use Agents in My Work? Yes… Sort of.
How I Built a Digital Dream Team with Custom GPTs and Why You Might Want One Too

TL;DR:
I’ve built a team of custom GPT agents—digital assistants tailored to handle specific tasks like content creation, weekly planning, graphic design, and website optimization. They’re not just tools; they’re a glimpse into the future of agentic workflows, where AI doesn’t just assist—it collaborates. Curious? Keep reading!
When you’re a solopreneur, sometimes you have to build your own dream team—mine just happens to live in the cloud.
I have a team of agents. They don’t wear sunglasses, they don’t drive black SUVs, and they definitely don’t need lunch breaks. Instead, they exist in my workflow—helping me plan, create, optimize, and deliver with precision and efficiency. These aren’t just generic AI tools; they’re custom GPTs, each carefully crafted to play a unique role in keeping my work sharp, organized, and seamless.
Who are these agents, exactly?
Think of them as highly skilled specialists with very specific jobs. One helps me organize ideas, another keeps my content sharp and SEO-friendly, and yet another ensures I’m not wandering into a rabbit hole of endless research. Each has a role, a purpose, and—if I’m being honest—a bit of personality.
What do they do?
They keep me on track, on topic, and on time. Need an AI-first website architecture strategy outlined? Boom, one of my GPTs is on it. Need a content plan optimized for search engines? Another GPT raises its digital hand. They’re not generalists—they’re finely tuned tools built for one job, done exceptionally well.
Where do they exist in my workflow?
Everywhere. From brainstorming blog topics over coffee to fine-tuning metadata late at night, my agents are integrated into every corner of my creative and strategic process. They live in my browser tabs, in my task lists, and—sometimes—it feels like they’ve set up camp in my brain.
When do I use them?
All the time, but not all at once. The beauty of these custom GPTs is that they’re ready when I need them and quietly idle when I don’t. Unlike a regular assistant, they don’t need lunch breaks, and they definitely don’t ask for overtime pay.
Why do I rely on them?
Because they work. They help me think clearer, write better, and deliver faster. They eliminate the mental clutter and streamline tasks that would otherwise drain my creative energy. It’s not about replacing my voice or my ideas—it’s about amplifying them.
How I Created My GPT Team
Building my team of GPT agents wasn’t about clicking a button and hoping for the best. Each agent was carefully crafted with a specific purpose, a set of clear responsibilities, and a sprinkle of personality to make working with them feel intuitive (and sometimes even fun).
I didn’t want generic tools—I wanted specialists. Agents who could handle focused tasks with precision, speed, and a little creative flair. Each one was fine-tuned with specific instructions, workflows, and knowledge bases so they could deliver exactly what I needed—when I needed it.
But enough about the how. Let me introduce you to a few of my favorites:
AIden – The Content Creator
AIden isn’t just about churning out words—they’re about crafting engaging stories, SEO-friendly strategies, and content that doesn’t just fill space but creates impact.
SAIge – The Weekly Planner
SAIge is my go-to for weekly recaps, planning, and staying on track. Think of SAIge as the project manager who actually keeps the team focused (and politely reminds me when I’m getting distracted).
AbigAIl – The Webmaster
AbigAIl is the backbone of my online presence. From website optimization to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, AbigAIl keeps the digital lights on.
IsAIah – The Graphic Artist
Whether it’s creating stunning graphics, designing layouts, or aligning visuals with my brand, IsAIah makes every pixel count.
The Future: When My Team Starts Talking to Each Other
Right now, each member of my GPT team operates independently. AIden writes, SAIge plans, AbigAIl optimizes, and IsAIah designs. They’re focused, efficient, and excellent at what they do—but they rely on me to pass the baton between them.
But here’s where it gets exciting: the future of agentic workflows will allow my team to talk to each other.
Imagine this:
SAIge reviews the weekly plan and identifies a blog post that needs to be written.
AIden takes the task, drafts the content, and flags a need for accompanying visuals.
IsAIah creates the graphics and hands them over to AbigAIl, who uploads them seamlessly to the website.
All of this happens without me lifting a finger.
Right now, I’m training each agent—honing their skills, defining their workflows, and fine-tuning their outputs. Every task they handle today is a step toward defining their role in a future agentic flow where they’ll work together, not just alongside me.
By investing time in building and refining these systems now, I’m not just optimizing my workflow for today—I’m future-proofing it for tomorrow.
The agentic era is coming, and my team is already preparing for it.
So, Do I Use Agents in My Work? Yes… and I’m Just Getting Started.
My team of digital agents isn’t just a collection of tools—it’s the future of work, unfolding in real time. They’re not perfect, and they’re certainly not fully autonomous… yet. But they’re getting smarter, faster, and more capable every day.
For now, I’ll keep collaborating with them, fine-tuning their skills, and letting them handle the heavy lifting. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So yes, I use agents. And if you’re not already using them, you might want to start.
Imagine if you had your own team of agents—each one fine-tuned for your unique goals and workflows.
What would your agents do?
How would they make your work easier, faster, or better?
